Participate in the Timeline Survey 2023!

Audiovisual archives worldwide are in constant transformation. To monitor this transformation, FIAT/IFTA would like to ask you seven short multiple-choice questions about preservation formats and content management systems in use at your archive, access to your archive, how metadata is created and your connection to the public.

This year, we are adding a new section with more in-depth questions about the use of AI.

The FIAT/IFTA Media Management Commission uses the survey data to track FIAT/IFTA members’ challenges. This way, they can provide the archivist community with relevant information and lectures during FIAT/IFTA conferences and seminars.

At the FIAT/IFTA World Conference in Locarno, Switzerland (October 17th-20th, 2023), we will present the anonymised results of this survey and publish them on the website. These results also enable you to answer the questions: “Where is our archive on the timeline?” and “Where are we with using Artificial Intelligence?”

Please fill out the survey; it takes less than 10 minutes of your time. Please don’t be bothered about who in your organisation should fill it out. If needed, we can easily filter out the doubles.
