This blogpost, curated for the #AiPicks section of the Value, Use, and Copyright Commission publications, presents the results of a survey finished by the end of 2024 among broadcasters, national archives and academic people who have implemented new tools using both Gen AI and descriptive AI and who have new experience with the use of AI and Gen AI. The survey was completed by 21 respondents, all of them experts from the global media sector and closely working with workflows in broadcast archives. The survey also intended to reveal the presence of and work with AI policies for broadcast archives.
