The Media Studies Commission and the Entangled Media Histories have opened a call for papers for a two-day international symposium at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision on 19-20 November 2026.

The FIAT/IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 is a prestigious recognition celebrating individuals who have made outstanding contributions to media archiving or to the FIAT/IFTA community throughout their careers.

Each year, FIAT/IFTA offers 5 Travel Grants to enable media archivists and researchers from all over the world to attend the FIAT/IFTA World Conference.

The FIAT/IFTA World Conference welcomes contributions from broadcasters, film and sound archives, community initiatives, research environments and hybrid institutions from Ibero-America and beyond.

The FIAT/IFTA Archive Achievement Awards are designed to honour outstanding archival initiatives and projects that have significantly improved the ways in which the archives are preserved, managed and used.
