PRESERVATION & MIGRATION SEMINAR 2021

Acceptance criteria in the context of massive migration processes

PRESERVATION & MIGRATION SEMINAR 2021

June, 2021

Online

Preservation & Migration Seminar 2021 on June 22nd online, free access.

How to define what ‘good’ looks (or sounds) like? Each project must deliver on three main measurable parameters: budget, timeline and quality. So how do we define and measure quality for a project for the massive migration of archive content? This question has its philosophical, technical and monetary aspects.

While there is no expectation of a “silver bullet” answer, there is undoubtedly a lot of value in sparking a debate to understand how different organisations have approached this question in the past and what are best plans for the future. To hear several expert voices and discuss this matter with the broad audiovisual archiving community, the FIAT/IFTA Preservation and Migration Commission organised a free online seminar.
