Media Management Seminar 2017 on June 8^th & 9^th Lugano, Switzerland.

Radiotelevisione Svizzera (SRG SSR/RSI), Università Della Svizzera Italiana (USI), together with the FIAT/IFTA Media Management Commission, invite you to the 8th edition of FIAT/IFTA’s “Changing Sceneries, Changing Roles” Seminars, focusing on media management, metadata, new emerging technologies and changing skillsets. This edition’s theme is “Embracing automation, enhancing discoverability.”

International Speakers will provide real-world insights, case studies and panel discussions on Integration and Interoperability with MAM systems, MAM in the Cloud, Sports Audiovisual Archives –logging, data feeds, multiplatform and rights, Automation- metadata extraction, mining, speech-to-text and Discoverability- linked data, semantics, analytics and new search technologies and trends.
We will continue to examine the changing roles in AV archives and the need for new skills and training in this fast-evolving digital domain.

This international seminar will bring together 120+ people: AV archiving practitioners (archivists, media managers) as well as researchers, developers, journalists, producers and representatives of the media and software industry. It will foster knowledge and ideas exchange, education, information and vendor awareness, understanding and engagement.
