An initiative by the MSC & VIEW Journal

FIAT/IFTA is pleased to highlight the publication of a new issue of VIEW Journal of European Television History and Culture, edited by members of the FIAT/IFTA Media Studies Commission.
This issue explores experimental and imaginative ways of engaging with broadcast archives, bringing together contributions from media scholars, artists, practitioners, and broadcast archivists. The authors challenge norm-bound conventions of academic writing, expanding the possibilities of knowledge production in television scholarship.
Through archive-based research, the issue critically addresses silences, power relations, and structural inequalities embedded in audiovisual heritage, offering a timely and thought-provoking contribution to contemporary debates in television and archival studies.
