Radio & TV Archives Digitisation Strategies
The FIAT/IFTA and ASBU seminar on “Radio & TV Archives Digitisation Strategies” started today in Tunis, Tunisia. This three-day seminar provides an excellent opportunity for professionals in the audiovisual archives field to connect and pave the way to future collaborations between FIAT/IFTA and ASBU.
During the Opening Session, FIAT/IFTA President Brecht Declercq and ASBU General Director Eng. Abdelrahim Suleiman highlighted the spirit of collaboration and the challenges of preserving archives and audiovisuals as a national reach during their opening speeches, hoping this networking opportunity serves as a stepping stone.
Experts from the FIAT/IFTA and ASBU communities will share their knowledge on four key areas: preservation of the archives, accessibility and usage, engagement of decision-makers in strategic planning, and intellectual property rights.
