Introduction
The world in which FIAT/IFTA operates is continuously evolving; a world where our members are confronted with changing environments. For all content-holders, today’s world is characterised by issues of transition: from analogue to digital, from digital to digital sustainability and an effective exploitation and valorisation of contents. There are so many developments in the field of technology and innovation that it is hard for our members to keep pace with the challenges faced. Adequate information is necessary to cope successfully with existing and future issues; in order to identify new markets, develop new services and products, take decisions, keep our members informed and continue to monitor knowledge development. Information is the most important tool and value of our day.
More efficient ways of working
FIAT/IFTA is right at the heart of our members’ field. In line with our mission (‘To help and inspire our members, wherever they are on the timeline’), our task of providing information is a vital one.
For a long time, the main ‘product’ of FIAT/IFTA has been the organisation of the annual world conference. Today, besides the organisation of the world conference, many other matters are dealt with throughout the year at FIAT/IFTA, including contacting members, communicating with members via the website, newsletters and social media, developing regional seminars, regularly updating the website, and communicating and cooperating with other umbrella organisations and CCAAA.
FIAT/IFTA Office
Since 2015, FIAT/IFTA has introduced a permanent office. The Office will take care of managing the standard repetitive activities. The Office is a facilitator, coordinator and enabler at the service of the EC and all our members. The Office ‘acts’ so that the EC can focus more on its strategic tasks. The EC gives the strategic orientations to the office activities, ensuring that standard activities are well defined and are carried out for the benefits of all EC members and FIAT/IFTA as a whole.
Activities carried out in The Office includes:
- Communication
- Website;
- Newsletters, magazine;
- Members communication;
- World Conference communication;
- Social Media.
- Partnering
