RAI Italian Radio and Television is considering the opportunity to redesign its archive site, rethinking the ways in which external users engage with archival contents. We are sure that within a federation like FIAT/IFTA sharing experiences and information is a valuable opportunity, we want to build on.
These are the reasons why, before beginning an in-depth internal analysis of the opportunities and modalities of such an important operation, it would be a precious chance to gather evidence and contributions from our colleagues who have already undertaken this challenge, by choosing to make their archives available or unavailable online.
Moreover, this would allow the FIAT/IFTA community to know more about strategies in the community with regard to opening collections to the public, finding food for thought and eventually inspiration for our own organizations.
Please help us better understand the theme by answering the questionnaire How far are you willing to open? A RAI survey on disclosing archives to the world. The deadline is the 15th of September 2022.
The findings will be openly shared on the FIAT/IFTA website.
Your experience in this regard does count!
Before filling out the survey, please read carefully RAI Privacy and Data Processing Statement.
Thank you for your kind collaboration.
