Join RIPDASA’s professional training webinars in Spanish
In 2019, FIAT/IFTA concluded a collaboration agreement with RIPDASA, the Ibero-American Network for the Preservation of Sound and Audiovisual Archives. This project, led by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and the Ibero-American Program for the Development of Science and Technology (CYTED) primarily aims to build a knowledge network of audiovisual archives in Latin America.
An important RIPDASA initiative, especially now that the options for traveling are limited, are the Spanish-language webinars. A new series of eight free and open webinars for researchers, teachers, archivists, librarians and professionals will run from the end of April until the end of November. The focus will be on learning and updating knowledge about techniques, processes and technologies of digital preservation of sound and audiovisual files. Teachers from the FIAT/IFTA community include Amira Arratia (TVN, Chile) and Ubaldo Candia Reyna (Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Mexico).
Each webinar takes 60 minutes and is completely in Spanish.

RIPDASA is supported by FIAT/IFTA, the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA) and the Ibermemoria Program, coordinated by the Fonoteca Nacional de México.
