Help commemorating 100 years Salzburg Festival
In 2020 the city of Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will be the scene of celebrations and a magnificent exhibition in remembrance of 100 years of the Salzburg Festival. The Austrian public broadcaster and long standing FIAT/IFTA member ORF is a partner of this festival and will dedicate several documentaries to this remarkable event. For this commemorative occasion ORF and the Salzburg Festival are looking for rare historical film, video and audio content about this world famous festival of music and drama.
ORF therefore calls upon FIAT/IFTA members to dig into their archives and let them know about the highlights of the Salzburg Festival in your archive, mainly focusing on its first 50 years from 1920 to 1970. Offering audio and video content that gives an international perspective on 100 years of Salzburg Festival will be one important attraction of the exhibition in 2020 and the accompanying TV-documentaries broadcast by ORF.
At this stage ORF is looking for descriptive information and/or preview material, further negotiations about the conditions of use will then follow in due time. For any further questions please contact Ruth Stifter-Trummer: ruth.stifter-trummer@orf.at.
