Recap: day two of the World Conference in Venice
Day two started with the traditional Newcomers’ Breakfast during which new members and first time conference attendees were welcomed to the community and acquainted with FIAT/IFTA’s own functioning and encouraged to get involved with one of the many activities FIAT/IFTA has to offer.
The day continued at the continuously stunning Palazzo Labia packed with busy sessions. In the afternoon we changed the format and worked in smaller groups, gathered at eight expert tables. Each table focused on a different topic from targeting new audiences to artificial intelligence. The last session of the day was again a plenary session. The nominees for the FIAT/IFTA Archive Achievement Awards presented their excellent projects and, during an interview session, explained their uniqueness.
On the evening the Gala Dinner was held. Venice has numerous stunning buildings, but our host RAI has chosen a truly unique one: the Scuola Grande San Giovanni. We moved back in time accompanied by Vivaldi’s music, beautiful food and lively discussions. The evening also revealed the very much awaited winners of the FIAT/IFTA Archive Achievement Awards:
