AMIA Call for proposals (Deadline May 19, 2017)
The AMIA Conference Committee invites proposal submissions for papers, sessions and workshops for the 2017 Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana – Nov 29-Dec 2, 2017
The goal of the annual AMIA Conference is to present a broadly-based program that speaks to the wide range of attendees with a balance of theory and practice, inviting new ideas and concepts that may stimulate additional interest, involvement and educational benefit. In keeping with ongoing membership discussions about diversity and inclusion, we urge proposers to use the conference sessions as an opportunity to include new voices and offer diverse viewpoints.
There are no programming themes preset for the conference, though programming streams may emerge from the proposals received. You may also propose a group of connected sessions (or a stream) as part of the proposal process. Please note that all session proposals are peer reviewed and it is possible not all of the connected sessions proposed will be accepted. More information about the proposal form, the types of sessions accepted, and how to submit your proposal online is available at www.AMIAConference.org.
We also encourage you to read the Call for Proposals FAQ. It explains the review process and offers information and tips on what the reviewers and the Conference Committee consider in the proposal process. If you have difficulty with the online submission process, please contact us at amia@amianet.org.
Proposal deadline is May 19, 2017.
