Call for application: Winter School for Audiovisual Archiving
The Netherlands Institute of Sound and Vision cordially invites audiovisual collection managers to apply for its first Winter School for Audiovisual Archiving on 17, 18 and 19 February 2016. The theme for this edition of the Winter School is “Implement your preservation policy”.
This three-day training session offers audiovisual collection managers the necessary knowledge and skills to implement or improve the digital preservation management of their audiovisual collections.
With the amounts of born-digital content and the varieties of media being created on a daily basis, there is a growing need to implement and update audiovisual preservation plans in order to respond to the challenges of digital preservation. Current issues in this field are:
- How this influences your IT and organisational infrastructure
- What issues of technology management arise
- Which skills you and your team require
This three-day training session offers audiovisual collection managers the necessary knowledge and skills to implement or improve the digital preservation management of their audiovisual collections.
Program
