FIAT/IFTA Travel Grant

Meet our former travel recipients!

FIAT/IFTA Travel Grant

One of last year’s FIAT/IFTA Travel Grantees was Petru-Ioan Pandrea, an audiovisual preservation specialist with an international background. He has worked with key European institutions such as the Historical Archives of the European Union and the European Parliament, and actively collaborates with national archives across Europe.

Petru-loan’s work is rooted in a strong commitment to safeguarding our shared audiovisual heritage. He is passionate about bridging traditional preservation practices with innovative approaches to ensure that audiovisual memory remains accessible and meaningful for future generations.

Participating in the FIAT/IFTA World Conference 2024 in Bucharest as a recipient of the World Conference Travel Grant was an inspiring and formative experience. Engaging with passionate professionals from around the world deepened my understanding of current practices and challenges in audiovisual preservation. The insights I gained, along with the meaningful connections I made, strengthened my passion for the field and reinforced my commitment to continuing a career dedicated to safeguarding our shared audiovisual heritage.
