AVRA Invitation for Research Input

A/V Archives Beyond Search

AVRA Invitation for Research Input

The Audiovisual Research Alliance (AVRA), in collaboration with the FIAT/IFTA Value, Use and Copyright Commission have commissioned a research on understanding new exploration of audiovisual digital archival collections. The research looks into alternative ways of interacting with A/V Archives – shifting from conventional search to more exploratory approaches like generous/fluid interfaces, polyvocal storytelling, participatory annotation, expanded interactions (e.g. AR, audio walks etc.) and archival installations, data viz, and narrated curator stories that guide visitors through moving image collections.

Today, the researcher, Nadia Piet, invites you to offer your input and support the research. This document is open to editing, so everyone interested in contributing can do so by adding any projects/links/names or by simply getting in touch with Nadia via email.
