Based on your studies thus far, what are the main benefits for your company/organization to implement a MAM solution ? Long term content preservation, program production, play out cache, etc.

  • Quick turnaround of program material to transmission plus reversioning, decrease in rekeying of information, benefits from capturing information at outset

  • Too early to say for certain. All three, possibly.

  • Reduce the resources needed to manage the assets; facilitate retrieval, re-use, repurpose, archiving and commercialization; reduce delays from production to broadcast; streamline rights and intellectual property management; allow content sharing, etc.

  • More than anything, with digital archiving we will be able to centralize the format of production, preservation and reutilization of contents, which in turn will greatly increase the efficiency of broadcast production. The main benefits of MAM would be the ability to manage large amounts of content data in a way fit for today's digital broadcasting, and the ability to circulate and multi-use contents in several different medium, including internet and mobile broadcasts.

  • In the scope of TRT-SAS Project following points are intended to be achieved :
    • Long term content preservation
    • Efficient and effective usage of the archives: Lowered program production costs.
    • With the internet options (which will be implemented in the future) everybody will be able to search TRT archives. This will increase productivity and increase income to TRT .
    • Centralize management of spread archive material kept in various places and formats
    • Providing reliability, immediate access and standardization of operations in the archive
    • Allowing authorized users to search, query and make EDL via intranet and internet from their desktop computers
    • Integration with the digital archives all over the world, thus reducing transfer costs, search time, reduced beurocracy between companies, etc.

  • Expected benefits are :
    • facility for efficient and simultaneous access to material (production material and archive material) for newsroom and program production
    • and consequently, more capacity of production for different purposes
    • solution for a long term preservation
